Who doesn’t love to play? But we think it’s brilliant to love Work too = Love Play Work! It’s time to transform the way you earn a living so your work fits around your lifestyle (and not the other way round). Whether you simply want to create a job that you love or take it one step further and use your freedom to travel the world- it’s all in your hands.

It’s the perfect time to think about how you can change the way you live, play and work (oh, and I expect love comes in there too!)

Hi, we are Hannah and Chris, a semi nomadic (the press calls us flex-pats!) couple who work together, travel together and generally try to do as many fun things as possible to stay married. All good so far!

It’s incredible how many opportunities there are to create interesting ways of earning a living so you can have all the freedom you want. We use ours to be ‘location independent’, to travel where and when we like, running our businesses as we go. We’ve got it down to a fine art! We have a community of people taking the first steps towards being ‘location independent’, learning how to travel affordably, how to create a sustainable ‘remote’ business, what technology to use and how to include important relationships in your new way of life.

Every Tuesday we write about anything to do with love, work and play on our blog so dive in, we’d love to hear from you!

    Acknowledging the good stuff

I’m not sure if it’s a cultural thing (I am British after all) or it’s a personality thing (I’ve been accused of preferring to merge with the wallpaper than make a fuss) but I was in two minds whether to write this post. But I decided to, one, because I think, despite my natural aversion, it’s positive to acknowledge achievements…

    Time to say goodbye…

I think it’s fair to say that I’ve been struggling with ‘blog inertia’. Probably understandable given the combination of a new baby and not travelling. But it’s more than that, and it’s taken a while to figure it out. I haven’t been writing because I’m not sure what my identity is anymore. And more importantly, how it fits with Love Play Work.

Is it time for a ‘real’ holiday?

I got in a bit of a pickle before going away on this trip. Having been back in the UK for a few months I’ve found myself influenced more than I thought by the structure with which most of our friends work and play. So when we planned a two week jaunt to the French Alps I tied myself in knots….
